UH Rainbow Giving Week Supports Northeast Ohio Families
University Hospitals hosted UH Rainbow Giving Week, November 29 - December 3, 2021, to share stories from those forever changed by UH Rainbow Babies & Children's — from our tremendously talented caregivers to the brave and inspiring children and families that come to us for care. Thanks to the generous support from our community, the giving week raised more than $270,000 for UH Rainbow.
Highlights from the week included Giving Tuesday on Tuesday, November 30, a global day of giving in which caregivers shared firsthand what makes UH Rainbow so special, followed by the 19th Annual Rainbow Radiothon on Friday, December 3.
Presented by Petitti Garden Centers, each year Rainbow Radiothon brings to listeners remarkable stories of love, hope and compassion featuring UH Rainbow's young patients and the dedicated staff who care for them.
“Radiothon is one of my absolute favorite events every year,” said Patti DePompei, RN, MSN, President, UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s and UH MacDonald Women’s hospitals, and Rainbow Babies & Children's Foundation Chair in Leadership and Innovation. “The families who open up their hearts and share their stories never fail to amaze me. I’d like to give a special thank you to the UH caregivers, staff and our wonderful supporters who worked so hard to ensure this year’s Radiothon was so successful."
If you were unable to support UH Rainbow Giving Week, it's not too late to make a gift.
