Third Annual Hit Fore Hope Supports UH Seidman Cancer Center
March 12, 2024
Join us on June 10, 2024 for the third annual Hit Fore Hope, which benefits lymphoma research at University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center.
Jami, who is a junior at Penn State University, came up with the idea for Hit Fore Hope when she was just 16 years old after her mother, Dana, was diagnosed with lymphoma. While Dana is doing well today, Jami hopes the funds raised during this event will help bring some comfort to others facing a cancer diagnosis.
Jami’s initial goal for Hit Fore Hope was to raise $10-$12,000 for cancer research at UH Seidman. She shared, “I don’t want other children to go through what my family and I have dealt with. I want to try to make a difference in the movement to find a cure, and reduce the devastation felt by nearly 2 million families who face a cancer diagnosis every year.”
The hard-earned talent and determination Jami exhibits on the golf course certainly transferred to her role as philanthropist. The previous events have raised more than $150,000, enabling Jami to further support UH Seidman Cancer Center through the Hit Fore Hope fund.
