Fifth-grader Mia scores for Rainbow
Just 10 years old, Mia Bucci wanted to help kids with cancer so she filled out a grant application, took it to her local gym and hoped for the best. Her efforts resulted in $450 that will purchase fresh fruit and other healthful items for Smoothie Day, part of the Iris S. and Bert L. Wolstein’s Kids Kicking Cancer program at UH Rainbow Babies & Children's.
Philanthropy Funds New UH Rainbow Center for Women & Children
University Hospitals recently joined together with the city of Cleveland and community members to break ground on the UH Rainbow Center for Women & Children, a three-story, 40,000 square-foot outpatient health care center in Cleveland's MidTown neighborhood. The $24 million project is largely funded through philanthropy.
