Over 100 Year of Innovation
UH Department of Orthopaedics is a nationally recognized leader in developing surgical and non-surgical treatments to improve quality of life for our patients. Our surgeons have been among the “firsts” in many new procedures including hip replacement, spine surgery, and improved technologies for correcting deformities in children. Recognizing our commitment to superior patient care and innovation, U.S. News & World Report consistently ranks our orthopaedic department in the top 1% nationwide.
Keeping our Community Active and Healthy
Being active is vital to remaining healthy. Musculoskeletal conditions affect more than 1 in 4 people in the US, and are a major cause of pain and reduction in quality of life. In addition, with an aging and health-minded baby boomer population, there is a rising demand for advancements in the treatment of arthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions.
UH Department of Orthopaedics specializes in treating a broad spectrum of orthopaedic conditions related to the bones, joints, muscles and ligaments. For decades, our renowned physicians and surgeons have led the field in developing new, less-invasive treatments that provide our patients better outcomes. Through Vision 2010, the department will advance its long tradition of excellence with a dedication to unparalleled, personalized care in order to keep our community active and free of pain.
