Leadership in Neurologic Care
University Hospitals is home to the first institute in Northeast Ohio dedicated exclusively to the comprehensive care of patients with neurologic diseases and disorders. Our Neurological Institute joins top specialists from the clinical neurosciences, Ireland Cancer Center, Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, MacDonald Women’s Hospital, the Center for Emergency Medicine and other areas of UH to provide superior care. Our specialists draw on the most innovative treatments available to create personalized plans for each patient to help ensure an optimal outcome.
The Next Great Medical Frontier
Today, neurologic diseases and disorders afflict more than 450 million people in the U.S. and around the world. With more people than ever approaching the age of 70 and life expectancy rising, the number of patients requiring advanced care for Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases, stroke and other conditions will continue to increase.
UH is committed to addressing the rising demand for advanced neurologic care and unlocking the mysteries of the brain in what will be the next great frontier of medical science. State-of-the-art facilities, advanced technology and an expert staff are all necessary to providing patients with the top-quality neurologic care they expect from UH, while positioning our Neurological Institute for sustained leadership.
